Kitchen, Lounge(Dining) area Design

In this kitchen design I combined wood(textured) with black gloss, as the two contrasting materials merge together and compliment each other thus, pulling the overall design together.

Clients prefer different tastes, some go for an "all-wood design", others "full-gloss design" while other go for a combination of both materials.

Personally I believe either can work, with good choice of material and design layout, the final design will definitely look great.

For those who love variety, "like me", you can pull off wood and gloss in your particular design.

I introduced an island in the kitchen for both functionality and aesthetics. The island displays a variety of functions as it holds the cooker, a sink bowl, as well as a sitting area. I do find the idea of island hoods quite eye catching.

The aesthetics the island pulls off can be seen as I made the sitting area of the island extend a little and also chose to make that area glossy black to stand out on its own.

The red stools bring in a vibrant warm color(red) that stands out from the rest of the kitchen giving a another focal point of interest to the occupant.

I included 'Handless cabinet doors', to give the design a clean contemporary finish.

I also included a simple lounge/dining area to give an "Open kitchen" impression.
